Guest-house use-case planning

Plan a Modular Guest House Around Privacy

A modular guest house should give visitors a clear arrival, private daily space and understandable boundaries with the host property. Review the QHOME catalogue only after those relationships and the site responsibilities are written down.

Walk through the guest journey

Begin at the site entrance. Decide how a visitor finds the unit, carries luggage, reaches the door after dark and uses any shared outdoor area without crossing private host zones.

Continue inside with practical moments: preparing a drink, storing clothes, using the bathroom, resting and leaving early. The exercise identifies circulation and storage questions without making unsupported claims about a particular plan.

Set visible privacy boundaries

Window orientation, door position, paths and terraces can affect both households. Mark lines of sight, likely noise sources and the parts of the site that stay shared or private.

Landscape and screening ideas belong in the site plan, not in a promise that the building alone creates privacy. Their suitability depends on the plot, local constraints and maintenance approach.

Name who owns every service task

The brief should say whether electricity, water, drainage, communications and waste are shared with the main property or planned independently. Unknown capacity is recorded as a technical question.

Responsibility continues after installation. Note who receives a fault report, who can isolate a service and how maintenance reaches equipment without entering private host space.

Compare the relationship, not the label

A product name does not prove guest suitability. Use the comparison tool to review documented plan and area records against the arrival, privacy and service brief.

Do not add model occupancy or bedroom claims from captions or renderings. Those facts must come from the accepted product data layer before they appear on the page.

Send a site check before choosing finishes

Use the configuration calculator for a calculator-based starting point, then send the project location, access notes, utility status and relationship to the host building for review.

Delivery and installation are not included in the public price and are available by arrangement. QHOME states manufacturing at two weeks and estimates delivery at one week, subject to confirmation for the project.

Plan your project

Check the guest unit as part of the whole site

Provide the host-building relationship, visitor route, service status and privacy priorities so the next step can be reviewed against real conditions.
