Where the houses ship from

All models ship from the QHOME warehouse in Rijeka, Croatia. Production takes about 2 weeks; typical delivery adds about 1 week. Models in stock skip the production wait.

A module travels by road on a low-loader or extendable trailer. One module is one transport unit; multi-module models travel as several loads. Transport dimensions are listed on each model page.

Oversized cargo, explained simply

Standard road transport fits within legal limits; most modular homes exceed them in width or height. That means:

• an oversize transport permit for each country on the route;
• escort vehicles on some legs;
• route restrictions — bridges, tunnels, roundabouts, low wires;
• day and night movement rules that vary by country.

What delivery cost depends on

• Transport dimensions and weight of your model
• Distance and the countries crossed — permits differ per country
• Escort requirements
• Ferry legs, if any
• Access quality of the last kilometres
• Crane requirement and crane class for unloading
• Number of modules

How the route is checked

1. You send the addressThe exact address plus a Google Maps link.
2. We check the corridorTurns, gradients, width pinch points, low bridges and wires along the trailer route.
3. You photograph the last metresPhotos of the entrance, access road and installation point are usually enough for a preliminary check.
4. Difficult cases get a surveyThe transport partner physically drives the critical section before committing.

What can limit access — and what we do about it

• Narrow gates or streets with tight turning radii
• Steep or soft ground on the final approach
• Low overhead lines at the entrance
• No space for the crane to set up outriggers
• Seasonal restrictions — mud, snow, tourist-season traffic bans

If the truck cannot reach the installation point, options exist: a model with a smaller transport width, a different unloading point with a site transfer, or a larger crane working over the obstacle.

Unloading and placement

• A mobile crane lifts the module from the trailer onto the prepared base.
• The crane class depends on module weight and the distance and height of the lift.
• The base must be finished and verified before delivery day — see the foundation guide.
• Typical on-site time: hours, not days.

Who organises what
